Introduction to Nonviolent Communication for teams
My NVC-workshop for employees combines authentic communication with fun team-building activities. Work-teams connect on a deeper level and build stronger authentic bonds rooted in trust in their job relationships.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) for Teams: Speak clearly — stay connected
Meetings, Slack, feedback, pressure: we communicate all day — and still sometimes miss each other. In this one-day introductory workshop, your team will learn Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as a mindset and a practical toolkit to reduce misunderstandings, address conflict earlier, and stay constructive even when things get tense.
NVC helps you separate observations from judgments, name feelings more precisely, identify the needs behind what’s being said, and turn that into clear, doable requests. Less “Who’s right?” — more “What’s actually going on for us, and what do we need now?”
Authentic Communication / NVC is the basis for New Work approaches such as Agile, Scrum or Holacracy and promotes respectful relationships at eye level. Through clarity & connection, NVC supports teams and staff to focus on self-responsible collaboration. Apply New Leadership through efficient communication of your needs.
Who it’s for
For teams who want to:
- stop talking past each other (or holding back),
- build a feedback culture that’s direct without being harsh,
- resolve conflict pragmatically — without damaging relationships,
- create more clarity AND connection in everyday collaboration.
What you’ll take away (after 1 day)
- A shared language for tricky situations (without corporate fluff)
- More confidence in listening: what was said vs. what we interpreted
- Tools for self-empathy: moving from blame/defensiveness to clarity
- The 4-step NVC framework (Observation – Feeling – Need – Request) for real work conversations
- Practice in kind candor: honest, respectful, effective
Format
Interactive, practical, and rooted in your daily reality: short inputs, lots of exercises, and cases from your work context. The goal isn’t “perfect NVC wording” — it’s more clarity, less friction, and better working relationships.
My authentic communication NVC seminars:
- Basic NVC Course: strengthening appreciative communication in everyday working life
- Teambuilding workshop: promoting trust and cooperation in the team through playfulness, clarity and connection
- Culture & Values Workshop: finding out the needs of your team and making agreements how to integrate them
All NVC-courses can be tailored as half-day (4 hrs) or 1-2 day courses for 4 to 22 participants. I offer a follow up programme online to continue the work. For managers and executives I also offer leadership mindset coaching. My reviews
